The Faculty & Staff and Graduate Student DEI Committees work closely together to advocate for diversity and inclusivity in our department and in the chemistry community as a whole. Our goals are to make undergraduate and graduate studies more accessible to underrepresented students and to foster a culture that is more inclusive of chemists of all backgrounds.
Faculty & Staff DEI Committee
Our faculty and staff DEI members are committed to improving representation and resolve to make significant efforts to combat discimination in our scientific communities.

Graduate Student DEI Committee
We are a group of graduate students at the Department of Chemistry in University of Florida. This committee was formed in May 2020 during the historical Black Lives Matter protests across the country. We felt that it was vital to address the issues of inequity that are present in higher education and locally, especially for Black people and People of Color.
